Tilda is delighted to announce that its Easy Cook Basmati and Easy Cook Basmati & Wild products are now endorsed by The Craft Guild of Chefs. The products passed with flying colours, exceeding the pass mark for use of the 'Approved Product' logo. The Guild's panel of highly ranked chefs all agreed that both Tilda products had an impressive yield, were high quality, easy to cook, delivered consistently good results which looked great on plate and provided a premium quality taste.
Tilda is currently offering caterers 50% extra free with its Easy Cook Long Grain Rice - that's 7.5kg for the price of 5kg, or 50 extra portions per bag! This fantastic offer is available from all major wholesalers, for a limited period only, while stocks last.
Cyrus Todiwala MBE DL and Pervin Todiwala, noted restaurateurs and owners of Cafe Spice Namaste, hosted a Charity Fundraising dinner on Wednesday 24th June, with support from Tilda, for the Time and Talents Association, of which Cyrus is President. On the night, Master Chef Cyrus worked with 3 of the UK’s leading chefs: Colin Bussey of The Loch Fyne group, Andy Aston of Restaurant Associates and Simon Young of Jumeriah Carlton Tower who, along with students from Westminster Kingsway College, provided diners with a drinks and canapé reception, followed by a three-course meal with fine wine.
Tilda was proud to sponsor the Team Award at the Pub Chef Food Excellence Awards 2009, and would like to congratulate all of the finalists, and also Stuart Fay & Stephen Treadwell of The Bell Inn, Essex, who were the deserved winners of this prestigious award. In conjunction with Pub Chef, Tilda will be following the Bell Inn throughout the year as it features a medley of rice dishes on its menu. Keep an eye on the website and in the pages of Morning Advertiser’s Pub Chef to see how they get on.
Tilda held a very fantastic Curry Night at The Unicorn Freehouse in Cublington, Bucks; inviting 50 villagers and feeding them all from one bag of Tilda Easy Cook Basmati rice, using some delicious recipes from Cyrus Todiwala! The night was a resounding success, raising £565 for charity. Why not give your own curry night a go? It’s a brilliant way to add more value to your offering and a great opportunity to gain more regulars.
