With efficiency, speed of service and quality at the heart of Paul's operation, he only looks for ingredients that deliver on these key elements. The Welkin also uses Tilda Frozen Basmati Pilau Rice served with a number of gourmet curry dishes, Paul states "The rice is good quality and has a very convenient cooking time of under 2 minutes, ensuring customers are not left waiting too long for their favourite meals."

Like many pubs, Paul has felt the pinch over the last few years, "We have been hit hard by the recession as we increasingly have to compete with other food outlets for customers." With this in mind, Paul has made it his priority for The Welkin and its staff to ensure that all customers are continually served great quality meals quickly.
