With National Curry Week (NCW) here, Tilda is encouraging pubs to send in what they are doing to celebrate NCW, for their chance to win an exclusive all-expenses paid New Year curry night.
The best example of NCW antics will win supplies of Tilda Easy Cook Basmati Rice, Tiger Tiger mango chutney, curry pastes or sauces, Indian snacks and £100 to spend on other ingredients which they can use to host their own curry night in January.
Mark Lyddy, Head of Foodservice for Tilda, said "This initiative celebrates the fact that Tilda Basmati is the perfect accompaniment to curry and will also demonstrate how profitable a curry night can be for pubs, especially when Tilda Basmati is used.
"January is always a quiet month for pubs following the Christmas and New Year rush - so this will provide a much needed sales booster for the winning licensee who will be able to offer their customers a great night out."
Tilda has added a dedicated NCW page to its website - www.tildafoodservice.com/curry-night.php In addition to the competition, the website provides a complete guide to how pubs can maximise the opportunity with curry recipes, profit analysis and free downloadable point-of-sale material to raise awareness of the event.
To enter the competition, pubs have to visit www.tildafoodservice.com/curry-night.php and provide details of how they plan to or have celebrated NCW - the closing date for entries is October 31st. National Curry Week, a national celebration of the dish, runs from October 9th-15th.
Lyddy added: "Curry nights are not only a great profit-making tool as they add value to the offering, they also make pubs popular venues with locals, while providing a great opportunity to gain regular visitors. At a set price, they are affordable for consumers during these difficult financial times and will encourage regular visits." |
